Artist's Comments
This was painting project I did for Intermediate Painting. This sucker really pushed me to the edge of insanity because of the detailing and rendering. Infact, that was the point for this assignment. But I manage to get it done and got a B+ on it. It's probably my best painting yet. Although, I screw up a bit on the shading part of the hat on top, but it didn't matter much. And this is done in acrylic painting.
(Note: For this assignment, we had to pick a photo reference of any kind to paint on. This is a picture of the Marlboro cowboy ad from a magazine I took. I do not own the rights of the ad or the company itself, just to let you know. I only did this as a project, that's all.) |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
